Welcome to Wally Pontiff Jr. Playground
 


Home of the annual Blue Devil Bowl.  Located in Old Metairie, just off of Airline Highway. Pontiff playground promotes healthy sports activities to the local community in collaboration with local support from our parents and government.  We currently offer baseball, softball, volleyball, basketball, soccer, track, and cheerleading programs for kids 5-17 years old.

We look forward to seeing our teams and supporting families participate, grow and prosper from the community environment we promote.  Please join us and the local community in providing a safe fun place to raise our children.

You must reside in the Pontiff Playground District and provide proof of residence to register. All 6 yr olds and new registrants must provide a birth certificate.

VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED!
The backbone of Pontiff Playground is the quality of its leadership provided by the coaching staff, scorekeeping staff and the Booster Club. Many leagues are still in need of help. If interested, PLEASE sign up at the registration table.
 
REGISTRATION  INFORMATION
 

 

Registration for Football, Volleyball, and Cheerleading will be held the first week in August at the Playground Office.  Ages 6-17 for Volleyball and Cheerleading and ages 6-13 for football. Age determining date is August 1st. 

Registration for Basketball takes place the last  2 weeks in October for boys and girls, ages 6-17.  Age determining date is September 1st.

Track and Soccer registration takes place in January, for ages 6-17.  Age determining date is January 1st. 

Baseball and Softball registration takes place the second or third week in March, for ages 6-18.  Age determining date is May 1st for boys and January 1st for girls.

To Register:

  
- You must live within Pontiff Playground's district or approved buffer zone.
- At least one parent MUST accompany child to register and present proof of residence.
- Child must be registered BEFORE attending 1st practice.
